- Lewks practice mutates through the collection and production of mass media, pop iconography, advertising in documentaries, on the Internet, in papers and magazines. He considers this amalgamation, ‘sampling’. His work focus’ on human behaviour under the construction of globalisation and observes it from a pseudo zoological stance. He highlights the base function of all individuals in a culture or society: - competing, consuming and reproducing, emphasising the cyclical repetition of these behaviours through evolution. An expression that Life is the, ‘Hokey Cokey’ self perpetualized*, by the innate process in which it is and :- ‘That’s what it’s ALL about.' *The ‘Hokey Cokey’ being a participation dance, structured around a repetitive melody with purely instructional lyrics, but the act or the sound are completely incomprehensible retracted from either of these contexts. lewk_wilmshurst@hotmail.com
